The RSCK Commissions include

The RSCK Commissions include:

i. Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC)

ii. Formation
iii. Evangelization, Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Dialogue.
iv. Safeguarding of minors and vulnerable adults 
v. Finance commission
vi. Canon Law
Each Commission shall work closely with the RSCK Executive, thus
reporting events and activities to them;
For a Commission to exist in RSCK there shall be at least three
members and one of them must be a Major Superior;
Each Commission can have members who are not Major Superiors, but who are involved in the Commission’s area of interest.

Duties & responsibilities

  1. JPIC: This Commission will work in collaboration with national and local Justice and
    Peace bodies. The Commission will regularly brief the Executive and RSCK members
    regarding the different activities and programs concerning JPIC in national and local
    bodies. JPIC may periodically publicize, organize and/or offer workshops for RSCK
    members.
  2. Formation: this commission is primarily concerned with initial and ongoing formation
    for our members. It shall encourage the sharing of information on recruitment policies
    and practices, formation policies on all levels and the exchange of experiences
    regarding the practical issues encountered in our various communities. The Commission
    will be charged with sharing the results of its meetings, discussions, and research with the RSCK
    membership. Periodically it may publicise , organise and/or offer workshops for the RSCK
    membership on topics pertinent to initial and ongoing formation.
  3. Evangelization: Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Dialogue: this Commission will liaise
    with different Congregations and Dioceses to find out their Agenda, Pastoral Plans and
    Activities. It may share the pastoral plans and activities of the various Congregation
    and Dioceses with the RSCK members.This Commission shall have its own plan of
    activities and may publicise, organise and/or offer Workshops regarding New
    Evangelization and Inter-Religious Dialogue.
  4. Safeguarding: Acts as the link between RSCK and the Pontifical Commission for
    protection of minors. Provide guidelines for RSCK members on policies and
    procedures on protection of minors and the vulnerable adults. Acts as the link between
    RSCK, KCCB, and AOSK on matters of safeguarding.
  5. Finance commission: Guides the executive on financial matters and projects.
  6. Canon Law Department: Supports RSCK members on matters of canon law.
    Guides and helps RSCK in interpretation and protection of church documents in
    the light of canon law.

The Religious Superiors’ Conference of Kenya (RSCK), a conference  that brings together all the superiors of male religious congregations working in Kenya.
